Selective hearing

First of all, people won't tell you so many things, and if they do, so much of it you are not sure about.  Sure it pays to listen to those that have prior experience, but you have to listen to your heart and follow your instinct.  Even here, just because I am sharing my experiences, the advice I dispense may not necessarily work for you.  That's the first thing about motherhood, there are no set of rules, each baby is different, each and every new mom is different.  What works for someone else, may not work for you and knowing that will make it a whole lot easier.

This is how it is

I'm a new mom to an adorable six month old and don't get me wrong, I love motherhood but I am here to debunk some of those myths out there and to tell you what others won't.  The way I look at it, if someone had told me all the things I am about to tell you, it would have made it a whole lot easier from day one!  And I am sure as I go along I will find out more, so much more I wish I could go back in time and tell myself.  But no matter, it's a learning experience and it's an experience I am going to share.
